what kind of foods do I want to eat to lose weight fastest? and what should I stay away from?

Celery, you burn more calories eating and digesting it then it has in it. So add a bit of celery to your diet.

Dieting is all about portion control. Hunger is a powerful urge though, and most people have terrible portion control. Try mixing a table spoon of coconut oil into a glass of water and drinking it 30mins before a meal. The oil has some fats in it and that will start getting digested right around when you start eating and make you feel like you already have something in your stomach so you won't eat as much before feeling full. You aren't taking in too much oil so the fat in it isn't a concern, its a small amount. Its all about tricking your body and portion control becomes easy.

EDIT: Someone else said avoid pizza, this isn't entirely true. Pizza can be very healthy, but avoid pizza that is greasy, has lots of sauce or cheese, etc. Homemade pizza is great because you can put on the right amount of ingredients and toppings, and homemade pizza crust is easy. Don't use a lot of pizza sauce, don't go over board with the cheese, if you like having a lot of cheese and sauce and things on your pizza add more vegetables, meat, and what not. One good way to keep pizza feeling hefty and filling but healthier is add slices of tomato to it, along with mushrooms, peppers (I like green and red peppers), onions, meat (leaner meats), etc. The tomatoes are great because you can put 2 tomato onto a pizza, and they really add substance to it.

Don't feel you have to deprive yourself of junk though, but keep in mind, moderation. Have a chocolate bar occasionally, treat yourself. Lots of people hate diets because they think they can't have ANY junk what so ever, which isn't accurate.

Eat:
Lots of protein
Lots of fruits and veggies
Beans
Nuts
Tofu
Rice
Seafood
Organic stuff. I eat organic mostly. Some stuff is really good. Make sure you do not eat anything with corn starch, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, sodium nitrate, sodium nitrite, or monosodium glutamate in it.

Don't eat:
Cakes
Cookies
Soda (pop, fizzy drink...whatever you call it)
Cupcakes
Milkshakes
Ice cream (unless it's healthy...try slow-churned or double churned because it has less calories)
Pizza
Burgers
Anything from fast food places
Try not to eat out at restaurants too much cause you never know what's in your food/if it's good for you or not.

Make sure you drink lots of water and green tea, too. Also, EXERCISE. Exercise about an hour a day. Get a gym membership...maybe even a personal trainer. If you can't do that, go on jogs or brisk walks by yourself.

Foods that mostly contains water :) Foods/vegetables Like: watermelon,pickles ( ~12 calories in one pickle), cucumbers, blueberries .
and Rice cakes are amazing !! you could eat it instead of bread. it's very healthy and helps to lose you weight

and Rice cakes are amazing !! you could eat it instead of bread. it's very healthy and helps to lose you weight
celery, greens, ryvita instead of bread, cottage cheese
