Hydrogen peroxide solution, 3%, I mix it 50/50 with water and apply with eye dropper or sprayer. The mushroom fungus is breaking down the wood and providing the plant with nutrients. If you peroxide the mushroom mycelum, you should follow with organic fertilizer with live microbes. The live microbe fertilizer itself may overgrow the mushroom mycelum. I have used peroxide 1.5% on seedlings with grey fungus with no damage to the seedlings. Further watering with live microbe fertilizer and the fungus did not return.
