add some extra chili powder and sugar...maybe some extra meat if you have it.
I hope it works out for you.
Dont worry ...adding too much tomato sauce is not as bad as too much salt

Add a little more water, and add a little sugar. This will help tame the taste of tomato sauce.

I could taste the tomato sauce if you put one tiny teaspoon of it in the chile!! It does not belong in good chile!!

throw that out and start over and don't put the tomato in it.

Add some cooked chopped carrots, more beans, a little more ground cooked beef and a little sugar or honey or Splenda to take the edge of the strong tomato taste away. If you end up with too much chili, but it tastes much better, divide it into amounts for future meals and freeze it in meal containers that are sealed with lids.

Add a can of beef broth or chicken stock to cut the tomato taste.

Puree a can of red kidney beans and add that to the pot of chili. It will change color, but once it's added to the pot it will darken like kidney beans.

Take a small portion of the mixture and try adding sugar to see what effect it has. It might work.

Since I can't see it, just wondering if you can drain some off?

Or up the amount of chili beans? Or add black pepper, preferably fresh ground.

Hope it works - either way - I bet it will taste good. Have sour cream, chips, cheese, olives to dress it up and you will have a great dinner.

Sugar doesn't belong in chili... add some more chili seasoning or try some black pepper and a touch of cayenne. Green herbs help kill the tomato taste-- like parsley or oregano. Or try thinning it down a bit with a little water. Add in extra of any other ingredient you have left, like beans or meat.
