Theawl.com has a listing of all the presidents and the foods they liked. You would see some of Theodore Roosevelt's favorites in a current cookbook. He liked:
Fried chicken with gravy
Pigs in blankets, a staple at cocktail parties in the 50's and 60's
Indian pudding
Hard boiled eggs
Hominy
Rolls
Others are rare today or hard to make for class:
Caravan or Hu Kwa Tea
Dandelion greens
Fiddlehead fern salad
Liver and Bacon
kidney stew
White wine
Shad and shad roe
Game meats (Roosevelt was an active hunter)
Oysters
Green turtle soup
Heavily sweetened coffee

Another site recommended a dish to take to class as a dish Roosevelt favored. Herold always had rolls for breakfast. This site recommended Fat Rascals, a hot biscuit that Roosevelt favored. If a recipe for Fat Rascals is not on the web, any freshly made biscuits or rolls would do. Just call them Fat Rascals.
Or go real easy and bring hard boiled eggs.
