Do Tomato worms sting or bite?

I found two worms on my tomato plants. They have white pod looking things all over its back. Do they sting or bite? Just wondering if I should wear gloves when picking my tomatoes.

No. The white things are wasp eggs that eat off the worm and the worm will die.

if they have the wasp eggs on them, just pick them off your tomatoes and put them on the other side of the yard and allow them to live until they die... that way, the wasps will survive to kill another one...the wasps are the 'control' agent.... don't want to kill the wasps off!!!....use floves and a bucket if you're not into bugs.....
